Wisdom Is a Tree

Wisdom is a tree. It casts deep roots into the soil it calls home. It reaches to the heavens as if outstretched in praise, waving its hallelujahs. It exhales an ancient song of breath and life. It bears fruit according to its kind, ensuring a future generation. It does not receive without giving back. It colors the world, bringing joy and laughter to faces. It receives the brunt force of life’s storms while sheltering others under its already burdened arms. It endures and does not easily break. It is meek, being hard on the outside but tender in the middle. It knows how to die in the winter of life, resting in the hope of spring’s resurrection waters. Wisdom is a tree.
